WHY CANT MY CRYSIS RUN?!?!?!!?!?!?!?

HI! Im Tom and im ******* pissed off because:

I already asked on other sites this douche question and i cant still make crysis to run

Second, i tried every ******* thing to run this so please help me!

So the problem is:

Using Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit

CPU: Amd Athlon 64x2 3ghz 6000+

GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 1gb

RAM: 2gb OF DDR2

DIRECT x: Direct x 9

So, i just downloaded this game, installed, everything is fine so far... and suddenly when i try to click on Crysis.exe (In 32Bin folder) it says I need the CD in the drive blablbabla.... i downloaded a crack for it, alright lets do it, and when i clicked on that again, the PC was busy for 5 seconds it was working i think and then nothing.... okay i say lets try it again in the 64Bin folder it would be obvious to make it working in that folder cause i have 64bit OS. Okay then i click on Crysis.exe again does nothing.... AND THE BEST THING IS...... When i click on the Crysis64.exe IT FINALLY RUNS!!!!.................. oh wait.... its loading too long whats the matter... and suddenly.... "Crysis has stopped working checking for solution....." Okay it wasnt able to find any solutions and then i got incredibly mad.. i reinstalled the whole game and still getting the same error! I tried to run it as Administrator, tried to Update it to v1.2, tried to Run it as compatible with Windows vista Sp2 and Sp1 and all of them..... i was looking solution on the internet and found alot of solutions but none of them are working its gettin really annoying so please help me. Thanks!WHY CANT MY CRYSIS RUN?!?!?!!?!?!?!?
Take a chill pill. Why are you so irritated that your stolen software isn't working? Not every torrent or crack actually works. A lot don't, because it takes a great deal of intelligence and capability to create a crack. In fact, if I were you, I'd stop being such a self-righteous egocentric maniac and just buy it. It's friggin $37 for both Crysis and Crysis Warhead and Crysis Wars right now, and they'll always run fine. That said, I doubt the crack, even if it works, will work for Windows 7...it's likely made for XP or Vista.WHY CANT MY CRYSIS RUN?!?!?!!?!?!?!?
Install it with Magic ISO or dameon tools.

install in root directory of your hdd.

Question on a graphics card for my computer?

NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 graphics card. Is it a good card to play games on? Is it good enough to play things like Aion and crysis. also how much would it be to update my RAM from 1 gig to 2 gigs? Please asner and thanks =)Question on a graphics card for my computer?
The GTS 250 is a pretty decent card, but it's pretty much at 8800GTX with a new package and sticker. It will be able to play most games on medium-max. Crysis, is the only exception, as it is VERY graphics intensive. You'll be able to play it on medium.

Well, for most games, they recommend a CPU speed of 2.4GHz or better, but with games that rely more on the graphics card, a CPU speed of 2.0GHz is fine....with a decent graphics card.

Yes, upgrading your RAM would be a GOOD idea. If your running Vista, you definitely need more, as Vista uses about 1GB of RAM to run ITSELF. Upgrade to 3GB of RAM,as it will be extremely useful. 1GB for Vista/ the system, 2GB for games, and for the future. (Get 4GB if you have 64-bit).

RAM doesn't cost a lot if you look around before you buy. I got 4GB of high-speed DDR2 RAM with heat-sinks for $14.99 on sale...regular price: $50(Corsair). You can get 4GB of RAM for under $50, so 2-3 GB is a lot less. Buy RAM that's from a known brand like: Patriot, Corsair, OCZ, and Crucial.

Now, I don't understand how your 2.0GHz rated at 5.7GHz...Is it a triple core? 5.7GHz rounded up is is 6.0GHz divided by 3 is 2.0GHz...If so, that's not true. This question has been asked, and answered several times. EACH core is not 2.0GHz, and it's not 2.0GHz DIVIDED into the cores. All your cores/processors are running a 2.0Ghz.

Example: a quad core at 2.4GHz is not 2.4 x 4 = 9.6GHz. It's also not 2.4GHz/ 4 = 0.6GHz/per core. It's just 2.4GHz, but get things done faster...

***Make sure you have/get a power supply that has enough power to power your whole system, and they card. The recommended Wattage on the box of the card, or the manufacturer's site is INCLUDING your system and the card. It recommends such a high Wattage requiremnt, because people computer that has like: 6 case fan, 4 1TB hard-drives, 6 RAM chips, and 2DVD-ROMs buy the card too. If your system doesn't have a lot of add-ons on it, getting a power supply thats a bit lower is okay.

Example: It recommends a 500W PSU.

You have maybe 2 RAM chips, 2 case fans, 1 DVD-Rom, Memory card reader...1 Game pad... a 450W would be enough.

*****Again, buy a power supply from a known brand. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, BUY A CHEAP ONE. You could risk losing $_ _ _ or even $_ ,_ _ _ because of a cheap $_ _ power supply. STRONGLY recommend: Thermaltake, Corsair, and Antec.

As I'm running a ATi Radeon HD 4850 on a Antec 430W PSU, and they recommend a 450W.

But, a big bigger PSU never hurts, and it will be useful for future upgrades. Also, as a power supply ages, it cannot produce as much power. Example, a 2+ years old 400W PSU will produce maybe 360W only. So if you get a 550W, and your system + card uses 450W, you have 100W to lose. No problem, the PSU will last you like 6 years or more before it goes down to 450W.
yES and yes also make sure your CPU is to the Games specifications if it is to slow or just above then you might have to set your Computer to have nothing else running in the backrground meaning exit all possible programs like anti virus and updates, also stop programs to start at startup (if you have windows defender you can select options in there or use the MS config.exe to stop all start ups)Question on a graphics card for my computer?
yes its a good card, very good card. and update your ram because you would have lag if you didn't have the recommended ram. I recommend 3 gigs if you want to run crysis at maximum settings and remember that CPU speed is very important on how the graphics card runs.
yes the GTS 250 is a good GPU. It will run all games fine. some not at highest settings but it will run them still...well depending on which type of ram ur using (i'm assuming DDR2) if its DDR2 it woudn't cost u much b/c DDR2 ram is currently dirty cheap lol. it would cost u from about $10 to $25...i would say just go for 4 gigs. and consider getting Vista 64-bit if u don't have it already. 4 gb could cost u about $50...Question on a graphics card for my computer?
Decent GPU, but make sure your computer can handle it's power requirements/has the right slots.

HELP NEEDED Far Cry 2 installation Problem?
Funny thing, I just got back from Wal-fart and installed the game also... I got past putting in the serial code to register, I haven't gotten the game to fully load as of yet... I had a similar problem with crysis and I was looking for answers about that, and found that if one defrags their hard drive that the game works better, which it did after that...

I am currently defragging right now so I will respond as soon as I get a better clue as to what is going on...

Ok here is what I have done to get into the game. Bare with me, I am using vista, if you are also, go to your games tab in start menu. Open it and right click on the Far Cry2 icon. Now select to play safe mode, that will get you into to adjust settings. I think they have the settings way out of spec for most computers in the graphics section of options for the game... You can also go into your nvidia or ATI control panels and make your adjustments for AA and such to "application controlled"... This might help also... Welcome to the Jungle...HELP NEEDED Far Cry 2 installation Problem?
Hmmm, I am almost halfway exploring the African Jungle in FC2.

One thing I can tell you for sure is that this game needs the latest PhysX drivers installed.

I have an NVidia card (8800 Ultra) so these drivers are included in the Detonator driver package. Visit http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx_8.09.?/a>

Another thing is, do not install that EA game program.

Uninstall the game, update your Radeon drivers to the latest WHQL certified ones, update PhysX drivers, and do a custom install leaving out everything except the single player game.

And i don't think my quad core is working at full capacity eather.

Crysis Sli Problems.
Before jumping to conclusions, I suggest you attempt to benchmark your system using 3Dmark with and without SLI.

If you do notice a difference, then you can safely assume that the Crysis benchmarking tool is misreporting something or you failed to download a driver.

  • Why can't I play Crysis like I should?

I have a good computer and good internet connection. Why am I not playing as good in Crysis as I should be. It lags constantly and it won't play any better. Do I need to download a certain engine? Patch? Updates? I just got it so I only have 3 1.3 Patch and Patch 2.Why can't I play Crysis like I should?
You need a supercomputer to play Crysis.

you may think you have a good computer, and you might, but its not good enough for Crysis

that game is much too demandingWhy can't I play Crysis like I should?
Lower your settings. Crysis has been called a system buster because there hasn't been a computer that can play it with the settings full blast. They are trying to build computers around the game, not the game around the computers. The game is just a system hog...

Why am i getting such poor performance in crysis?

i can play call of duty 4 with everything maxed out at 1024x768

and get like 130 frames per second.

    i have an 8800GT 256mb card and an amd athlon 64 x2 4200+

a while ago i had an 8600 gt and i had better performance.

ive updated the video drivers and im still getting like 15 fps.

why?Why am i getting such poor performance in crysis?
If the maker of your gpu is evga, there are known driver issues. Why am i getting such poor performance in crysis?
You want a cpu that runs at 2.8 ghz.

Crysis 1 Video Game, Internet Issue, does anyone know?

I have Crysis 1. I installed the version 1.2 update, and I am using the Gamespy Comrade downloaded from the official Gamespy comrade website. I have my firewall turned off. My gamespy comrade login works "outside" the game, HOWEVER .. the problem is when I try to login "within" the game, it tells me "login failed - check Id and password then try again".

Is this a glitch that can be fixed? I'm doing everything rightCrysis 1 Video Game, Internet Issue, does anyone know?
if you got win 7 you may need to swap it to run as adminCrysis 1 Video Game, Internet Issue, does anyone know?

Please be nice! Will this work for me?
Everything's compatible and will work great for what you want.

However, AMD might be cheaper and will be equal in power. Get a socket AM3 motherboard with USB 3.0 and any other settings you like and then a hexacore AMD CPU. It'll run you 50-100 dollars cheaper and will be equal in power, if not better.

In any case, you've done your fair share of research. You've got a good system in the making.

since u have all the I think I would go with an i7 as fast as u can afford instead of the i5.
Wow! You are very knowledgable and I think you've got a link of components to make a good computer.
You really should apply at a company such as Sun Microsystems or HP.
They're looking for people like you. Will this be a beast of a computer?
I'm not anything close to an expert, but that sounds like a pretty awesome computer in my opinion.
What your missing is a 3.5" Floppy Drive. How else will you play such games as Oregon Trail or Pong?

    Consider this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Compaq-430c-Laptop-100mb-iOmega-Zipdrive-/200630989785?pt=Laptops_Nov05%26amp;hash=item2eb689f3d9#ht_1452wt_1139Will this be a beast of a computer?
That'll work great, and max most(99% of games) A setting in The Witcher 2 called uber sampling brings even SLI 580s to their knees, so keep that setting off and you're golden. Also, depending on what resolution you play crysis 2 will run great. The dx11 update is very vram hungry and you might run out of vram if you're playing at above 1080p. Other than very very few exceptions you'll be shredding thru all games.

    edit:
one potential problem, you MIGHT have trouble physically fitting that gtx 570 into a haf 912. If this is a problem you can get a better case that'll fit it like the haf 922(only $30 more) or remove the middle HDD cage of the haf 912.

I only see a couple minor problems.

    1) Your trying to fit a lot of large items into a mid-tower (ie. GTX 570, Corsair Hydro H50, Sound Card) you may run into a problem with getting everything to fit inside the case and more importantly having enough good airflow to cool your components.

    2) Power supply might be lacking a little. I would go up to around 900W especially if your wanting to make this future proof that will allow more then enough power to add another gpu at a later date if needed.

    3) No really a problem just curious. If your spending this much on a new rig why not upgrade to an i7 cpu?

Other then these minor things it looks to be a great system and should run your games.

Please be nice! Will this computer be a complete tank?
Yeah should work for all games you mentioned. Might not work for something like metro 2033 but... nothing runs that perfect.... I digress...

Only change I would recommend is that the motherboard you have is good BUT this motherboard Asrock P67 Pro3

is a little more oc friendly. This is especially helpful with the 2500k which is basically made to overclock.
you dont need the soundcard... your motherboard is equiped with 8 channels already and a digital output, so you could do 7.1 surround with just the board. Will this computer be a complete tank?
    Builds spec...

hahah your pretty good at picking things aren't you ? lol you forgot to put your Processor. And sure it can run modern games as long as you get a nice processor.

with that kind of GPU lol you can pretty much run any games out there at max settings and yes your GPU is DX11 capableWill this computer be a complete tank?
Yes, it can handle 1080p gay porn with ease.

Don't listen to the person below me; he's an illiterate ******.

    My advise is:
    1) Try and get a 1600 Mhz Memory instead of 1333.
    2) Only buy a sound card if you're an audiophile or a Sound/Music editor.
    3) Disregard the H50. Don't be fooled by "Water Cooling". These H50/60/70 are terrible. If you really want a Water Cooling system, get a better one and avoid getting these All-in-one cooling system. I'd recommend a Hyper 212 Plus Heatsink - Considered to be the best value heatsink and it's very well known to get your i5 2500k up to 4.x GHz
    4) Disregard the drive -- it's too expensive. Since you're getting the Z68 motherboard, you might want to get an SSD instead with OTHER cheapass 2TB drives rather than the overpriced Caviar Black. Use that cheapass drive specifically for data storage e.g 1080p gay porn, gay furries, etc. If money is an issue, I'd say just go with the SAMSUNG F3 Spinpoint 1TB x2 and get a P67 board instead. Take note that the bigger the HDD is, the more fragile and slower it is.
    5) SLi a GTX 560 ti x2. Again, if money is an issue just go with the 570.
    6) That PSU is loud as my sister having her period. Get either Antec, Corsair or Seasonic PSU. My recommendation would be the Corsair HX750 (Semi-Modular).

    Note: Get the 64-bit OS.
    P.S I'm gay
@Lee - reread the question - the asker lists the i5-2500K processor - which is quite nice

@Dustin - the i7-9xx series is now 2 years old. The i5-2500K will outperform that i7-960 by about 10% at stock speeds. The i5 overclocks far better.

I can't see any difference between this question and the one asked yesterday, so the answers are pretty much the same. You'll be fine on BF3/Diablo 3, but there may be something along in 2-3 years that needs an upgrade.
I believe this should last you a while... But me myself would not waste time on the i5..... try the i7-960, but with these types of questions comes people with their own taste. Go with what works for you... but Yes this will indeed run your chosen games on high detail with no problems, I also believe it to be "future proof" for a while. The proper test for this machine will be Elder Scrolls: Skyrim
This is a great build, I would recommend getting a motherboard with 2x pcie x16 / x8 slots for SLI support if you want your system to be futureproof. If you want to stay with Gigabyte, the UD4 is really nice. You'll be able to update it later on with another gtx 570. The RAM is also pretty cheap these days, why not go for some 1600mhz?

By the way Witcher 2 is hard to run with max settings even with a GTX 570, ubersampling is really demanding but you'll be able to run it at max settings without it with decent FPS.

Also since you're investing in a z68 motherboard instead of a P67, why not take advantage of the SSD caching and get a small 64gb ssd, would be nice I believe!

Please be nice! Will this work as an amazing gaming computer?
%26gt;In other words, you don't want me to be too harsh, right?

I was going to say - I hate the word "AMAZING" because I am not very amazed at anything these days considering the extent to which human beings become extreme and narrow minded. I try to keep that word outside of my lexicon - let's say, I may be "IMPRESSED," but not "AMAZED!"

I do have a couple of suggestions for you, in particular, the one that I think will most benefit you and may cause you to be even more impressed is to switch to the new UEFI Bios, which Gigabyte has made the decision not to do. this, in my opinion, is the WORST decision that Gigabyte could have made. They have decided to stick with the old, 16 bit text BIOS on their new P67 and Z68 boards instead of antying up and going to UEFI. I hate to say it, but that makes their motherboards outdated right now! And don't get me wrong because I think VERY highly of the quality of their motherboards, but I think they are doing a great disservice to their customers myself.

Both Asus and MSI have migrated to UEFI and all of their latest and greatest boards have a UEFI Bios interface. Instead of the old fashioned, ugly and now outdated 16 bit text BIOS, these two manufacturers have spent the money and time AND effort, to create the new UEFI 32 bit graphical BIOS which makes setting up and tweaking a computer a snap! And Asus, by far, has done the best job of all.

I would be doing you a great disfavor to tell you that the motherboard you picked out is a good one when the BIOS sucks and is outdated.

Now if I was going to get a motherboard, it would be the Asus P8Z68 Pro motherboard. It is getting rave reviews, a lot of people are jumping on it and are happy and it has the AMAZINGLY brilliant UEFI Bios. So if I were you, migrate to this new motherboard and be AMAZED.Will this work as an amazing gaming computer?
if u have a quad core and a pretty nice graphic card such as the one listed up there, then you should have no problem playing games.

about being future proof, it will last a long time but the thing about computers is that they slow down over the years and you will probably want a new one because of the new computers in the future. Will this work as an amazing gaming computer?
I spent a good 7 minutes looking at your list, and this system is going to have no problems running these games on max settings. It definitely seems future proof. The Intel I-series processors are fantastic. The I5s work great. It is kind of overkill to have the I7, because the I5 is so fast that you cant really tell the difference between the two, so you made a good choice. 8gb of memory is also way more than you will ever need, which makes it even more future proof. Seeing the 2tb hard drive sort of made me chuckle, but you will never need to buy a larger one, so you are set. It sounds like you will be playing Star Craft in no time. :)

One potential problem, you MIGHT have trouble physically fitting that gtx 570 into a haf 912. If this is a problem you can get a better case that'll fit it like the haf 922(only $30 more) or remove the middle HDD cage of the haf 912.Will this be a beast gaming desktop?
Seems solid to me. but if you really want a BEAST of a computer, get an i7 processor *drools over keyboard in epicness*
Spend a little more and get a HAF 922 or Haf x case

    otherwise its an awesome computer.

    Excellent build. Everything's compatible.

I'm not sure the Sound card is significantly (any?) better than the built in 7.1 audio on the motherboard, but that's your call.

The GTX 570 will max out most games, though it might have issues maxing them out on a 1080p display with ridiculously high levels of Anti-Aliasing. You'll certainly get excellent frame rates. The processor will have no trouble keeping up.

You'll be able to run any game for the next 3-4 years. The only future trick that might catch you is the switch to stereoscopic 3D (True 3D) with the glasses and 3D monitor. That would benefit from a video card with 2GB of video ram.

Just make sure to get the 64-bit version of Windows. I can't tell from the descriptions if the SATA cables are included with the motherboard or hard drive, so that might be a minor item. I know that no cable is included with anything marked OEM such as your CD/DVD drive.
If you have the knowledge to put something like this together you'd be able to tell that this is a capable gaming computer. Will this be a beastly gaming desktop?
    http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/S?/a>

I would buy this RAM since it's better suited for a 1155 system. Gigabyte motherboards are picky about memory.

Have you checked out the prices at ncix.ca or newegg.ca. Newegg does have combo deals and you could save some money that way. This EVGA GTX 570 is clocked a lot higher than the one you picked and it's cheaper if you don't count the rebate. It's probably 10% faster than a standard GTX 570.
    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.asp?/a>

    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.asp?/a>

Yeah, if you want to max Crysis 2 on DX 11 the minimum card you will need is a GTX 570

It seems that newegg.ca has the Core i5-2500k for much cheaper.
    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.asp?/a>

    http://www.ncix.ca/products/?sku=57962%26amp;v?/a>

Since the USD and the CAD are about equal the prices should be the same as well. Looks like newegg is the only company who's somewhat honest about that.

I would assemble a shopping cart with both, look at the total shipping cost, and look at any combo deals that can save you money. NCIX does have free shipping. With the money you'd save over tiger you could go for a GTX 580.

The computer should be considered a graphics powerhouse for the next 2 years. The next 2 years after that games will be playable. Year 5 is when you have to question replacing the system.
Like the other guy said if u were smart enough to but this build together u already know the answer... but i have a tool that may help you out too. I love passmark.com they have benchmarks on basically every cpu and gpu on the market so you see if you can do better for the money. Anyway that said i like that you picked the cpu you did, having it on intels newer socket will allow for future upgrades when prices come down u could say like double your power. The gpu is great. It is the second most powerful benchmarked single card on the market. And with just 1 u will be futurproofed for quit some time. Since u mentioned the hard drive lol, it is actually quite good lots of cache and being on a sata3 port will be good. I actually just bought one for a htpc but it was the 1TB model. I cant really say more i guess... maybe if u wanted to go with a cheaper card in sli, maybe if u wanted to go smaller hdd but do some in a raid for same space more speed? these are all little tweaks that are not even necessary i would say u have a hell of a build here go with it.

Edit: dam lol i type slow, there was only 1 answer in when i started my answer. Anyway dam Adam makes a good suggestion on yet another answer i am in lol. As far as the ssd thing goes he is right they re very fast i have a vertex2 myself on my macbook ant it boots in under 10sec every time. But i wanted to interject on this comment. You are not building an extreme system here right? Spending alot of cash on an ssd is a good idea... but... it is a tad unnecessary. They speed up everything from boot time to how fast your web browser comes up its great if u want things to happen in like 1 second not 10 but if you are willing to wait i would say just keep the 2TB drive honestly the failure rates are not that high its more of if u have a good drive from the start then it probably wont die. Anyway like i was saying you are not going for some extreme system so if u have the 2TB now and get a ssd when they come even further down in price (they will just u wait) and the fact that u will be able to get the sata3 ssd's will mean u will be able to buy them in the future so just keep that in mind.

Edit 2: The guy below me is right bout the newegg thing i would have sugested it but i didnt want to insult you choice. most people pick one place they like and stick to it i love newegg but i have freinds that will swear by tigerdirect to the death. Newegg has great deals and tiger has its moments too, just check the prices on both they are both good and again have fun. Will this be a beastly gaming desktop?
I'm actually building a Gaming Rig with similar components :) But to answer your question yes those parts would be adequate. The only thing I would change is the Hard Drive. Invest in a 120GB SSD for the OS and the majority of your games. This would provide an overall better experience when gaming and everyday usage. Then pick up a smaller 7200RPM drive for your media. 500GB - 1TB drives would be good. I'd really recommend doing this as large drives(%26gt;1TB) have a higher probability of failing.

I'm going to recommend this SSD since I've got one and have been using it with no problems :)

    Hope I helped :)

Please be nice and critize,,,,,,,,,, interesting.

answers you picked a nice system, the sound card will slow down somewhat everything you are trying to accomplish, if you use the sound card that comes on the motherboard you will be better off, the other things is. There are only three power supplies makers that most true gamers would go with, one is seasonic, the other corsair, the other Antec. If you can replace the cooler master with the tx 750 you should have noooooooooooooooo problems. If your power supply goes out, it can take the other parts with it, like the nice 570, and the motherboard and anything else plug directly or indirectly to the motherboard no need to ask people to be nice, you know what it is, they will be how they are, somewhat selfish and know too much, thats just my two sense. If you ask a question, just ask it in respect and you probably will attract respect. anyways nice system change the power supply and dont use the sound card you are thinking of getting
you should be okay, make sure its all compatable, i think it is but didnt look at it all to hard, im doing the same thing, but id say get 4x2 2GB for the ram

Are games compatible between steam on Windows Vista and Windows 7?

I just updated from Windows Vista Home Premium (32bit) to Windows 7 Professional(64bit). When I did this I copied over my steam apps folder to an external hardrive and then copied it to the new OS. Now all my steam games need to update and some, such as Crysis 2 and Bioshock won't work at all.

Crysis specifically says,"activation launcher has stopped working" Please help meAre games compatible between steam on Windows Vista and Windows 7?
Virtually anything that will run on Vista will run on 7. What you need to do is this: On each game in the library, right click it and choose 'properties' from the context menu. Next, click the 'local files' tab. On that tab click the 'verify integrity of file cache' button. Do that for each game in turn and it will repair the game, automatically downloading any necessary files. Only do this on one game at a time. I have transferred my games this way, it does work.

Because you've installed the 64 bit version of Windows you need to have copied your folder from C:\Program Files\Steam in Vista to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam in Windows 7 x64. If you have copied it to Program Files instead then move it to Program Files (x86) - close Steam down first. Are games compatible between steam on Windows Vista and Windows 7?
You need to put them on your internal drive, you can't just share them on one external drive, because there are certain settings that are saved because of your OS. That's why you get that message with Crysis. You can redownload your stuff free on your other PC via Steam, and then you can register your computer as one of your allowed devices to run software.

    Crysis: will it run?

How well can my computer handle Crysis? I know I need to update, especially my video-cards, but that'll come later down the line after the rest of my bills. :) Here's my specs:

    AMD Athlon 64 4000+ San Diego 2.41ghz

2x eVga Nvidia 6600 gt (SLI)

    1.5ghz Ram

    Windows XP

Any more info you need, askCrysis: will it run?
I think you "might" be able to play in Low settings and low resolutions. A single-core processor can barely handle Cryisis, even in Low settings.Crysis: will it run?
You will be able to play smoothly, but not at max settings. Probably medium.

computer later, that's why i am looking at the gtx 260 for 219.99.

i dont know how the 260 will work with all the rest of my components though. or would it be better to get a 9800 gtx instead. im either getting a gtx 260 or the 9800 gtx and im wondering if my cpu will bottleneck the gtx 260, becuase i want to play crysis and cod5 with plenty of fps so..... help!! thanksComputer update help?
The CPU will bottleneck the 260. Well, the CPU on that motherboard, anyway.

Either upgrade the lot, or just go for a 9800GTX and a better power supply, and save the money for a complete upgrade later.

Which is the best crysis 2 vs black ops ..better graphics, gameplay, maps, more XP/GP add up less xpnsiv payin?

PLUS LESS HACKING BETTER UPDATES AND UPGRADES ALSO ITEMS ARE LESS EXPENSIVE THAN THE OTHER.....Which is the best crysis 2 vs black ops ..better graphics, gameplay, maps, more XP/GP add up less xpnsiv payin?
In all honesty i would go for Crysis 2. Here are my reasons.

Graphics? No Question there, undoubtably Crysis 2 as this has DX11 the most realistic graphical interface whereas blacks is only dx9 and not as detailed, by far.

Gameplay? Well if you are looking for TACTICAL and not just Run and Gun then you are looking for Crysis2.

Gameplay? Crysis2. There are 3modes. Stealth Power and Armor.

STEALTH: is when you turn invisible so you could melee someone from behind or do stealth kill, sometimes shoot. When in this Mode i find that when enemies are next to me they still dont notice.

ARMOR: Makes it harder for them to kill you; takes longer. ive heard that it reduces damage of each bullet by 30% but not sure if this is true.

POWER: Just basically Sprinting and Jumping High.

Maps? Well i find that in Crysis2 most maps are reasonable small and few are big. Up to 8vs8 in teams. There are underground shortcuts as well to hide in or so and so. Maps are realistic and the physics are great in the game, following after crysis.

There are 5 different game modes.

Team Instant Action ( teams of 8vs8 first team to 75kills )

Instant action ( all are your enemy, first to 30 kills )

Capture the Flag ( 2rounds, the team with most flags captured and returned to base )

Extraction ( 2 rounds - first time in each round to get 2/3 extractions, if draw the team with quickest time will win )

Crash site ( A pod will land anywhere on the map and there is a circle around it, if you and your team are in the circle you have to try and defend your postition, or if opposite team are in circle you gotta attack and try to get to it. You get +30xp every 5seconds you are in the circle, 30xp counts as 5points on the score limiter, first team to reach 150, 8vs8 ps. crash pods only last about 2-4minutes then they blow up and get dropped on another area of map )

More XP? Well let me tell you. For every kill in crysis2 you automatically get 100xp in some game modes + bonuses eg.

    Headshot=150

    Smackdown(melee)=150

    Double Kill = 300

    First stirke = 150

quite a few are 100 and 150 actually.

up to 50levels, u can reboot back to level 1 if you want after getting lvl 50. Great range of weapons, pistols, grenades and an anti tank missile lancher type thing. :)

Atm there are only 2 map packs in Crysis 2 one better than other .. 10dollars for 5maps and exclusive weapon and another one is 10dollars for 4maps. although i find that hardly anyone everplays these new maps. There are upto 23 different maps in crysis2 which are popular so sometimes no need for new maps, and can always pick up the new weapon which someone has dropped, from dying.

    Crysis2 = 15-30GBP

    Black ops = 30GPB

You may get a patch for Crysis2 maybe once a month? but containing sometimes atleast 15-20 things. Sometimes it might be one patch in 2-3months.

I have COD black ops but dont play it as i find it nowhere good to crysis2.

Hi there I just got Crysis and i've updated it to version 1.2 and when i go to the graphics menu the and click optimizes it says my laptop (intel core i3 2.4GHz, Intel HD graphics and 4G Ram) can run it on medium settings.... when i enter the game it lags alot so i set everything to low and it still lags a bit.. what's wrong with crysis? i've updated all my drivers. i''m also running game booster premium 2 while running the game.... also... my laptops been on all day downloading the game since i bought it online via steam so it's a bit worn out i guess, could that be my problem? please help me i'm desperate to play this game smoothly!!What's wrong with my Crysis?
Your game is chugging along because you are using and integrated graphics card. What that means, is that your computer's processor is tasked with both rendering your game's graphics and doing and processes that the processor would normally do, since your laptop does not have a standalone graphics card. If you were playing on a normal desktop computer I would suggest getting a new graphics card but since you are on a laptop you probably can't put in a graphics card. So sorry to say that you either deal with the lag or buy a new computer.

This can happen if your screen resolution is incompatible with the game. Some video cards allow you to select non-standard resolutions, and some games just don't like that. That update allows the 360 to read a new disc format. Those games need the new disc drive firmware that comes in the update to play. That means, all the upcoming 360 games won't be playable unless you updated you're Xbox with the latest update.

  • New Graphics card for Crysis 2?

    Hi everyone,

I'm sure you Crysis enthusiasts will be excited (or not) about Crysis 2, and we all know it'll use CryEngine 3.

In order to be prepared for this I'm updated my graphics card and/or computer.

The object of this is to be able to play Crysis and Crysis 2 on Very High Dx10 at 1680x1050 with around 30fps, I currently get 30-35fps on High Dx9 mode on my current PC.

    My current rig is such;

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600

    GFX: NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT 512MB (PCI E x16)

RAM: 4GB (2x 2GB, one of them is PNY)

Motherboard: (Don't know a lot about them) AGP PCI IBM USB i2c/SMBus

    HDD: 2x 360GB (Not important)

I aim to get a card under the £150 mark or over if the card is worth it, but I've only got 24cm long and 6cm wide to work with.

10 points, a thumbs up and my gratitude go to whoever gives me the best/the only response!

Thanks in advance guys!New Graphics card for Crysis 2?
Radeon 5770 pulling it off in the Very high settings is doubtful in my opinion. But for ur budget this or Radeon 5830 seem like the only options. if u have 2 pci ex slots on your motherboard u may get 2 Radeon 4850s for crossfiring purposes. Tho u wont have dx11 in that case, which i think wont matter in the coming 1-1,5 years i thinkNew Graphics card for Crysis 2?
4890 may be out of stock. Why dont u try to find a 4850x2 this is a crossfire on one single pcb. It'll be the best bang for ur buck. This is 2x4850 on 1 single board so u wont need 2 pci ex slots

Crysis 2 black screen in game?

    Hey all,

Today i bought Crysis 2 for pc, and every hour i get a black screen during game play, and only Audio

My system specs are as follows:

    Intel Core I7 980

    6GB RAM

ATI Sapphire 5870 vapor cooled graphics card

    1.5TB Hard drive space

Now my SYSTEM specs are way above the requirements, everything is turned onto full, and i do run 2 monitors, but the game is only on one (this shouldn't really matter)

Iv updated my sound card, and shut all background programs, iv updated y graphics card, and again, adjusted my settings to get it to work, buas tillll it will freeze, not tried it online yet, i want to get this sorted.

When it happens, my Graphics card fan goes on high revs, and the pc just goes black, and only audio, i have no programs controlling my fans at all, just as standard as they are,

any help please?Crysis 2 black screen in game?
Are there any game patches to download, maybe some of your hardware doesn't play nice with the games code and a patch was released to fix that.

Your system specs are way above mine and I have no problem with Crysis 2.

If you are using an hd tv instead of an LED monitor, sometimes the tv will not accept the resolution and then it will only play the sound.

(I had this happen on the first crysis game )

Look online to see if anyone else has that problem. For me I ended up playing the game on my old LCD screen.

    Why won't crysis 2 work?

A friend of mine gave me Crysis 2 (Xbox360) as a gift it's a PAL version of the game and I have a NTSC console and when i went to play it it gave me "unsupported region" which really put me down and I don't understand why because i have played PAL games such as Gears of War 2, Assassin's Creed II Halo 3 and Halo ODST on my american console without problem. I haven't updated my Xbox in about 2 years now is there some kind of patch I'm missing? My dad has put it on a TV with no acces to internet what so ever so i don't know anything about newest patch or anything. I also have a PS3 (NTSC also) if i buy Crysis 2 for PS3 will it work? and will it also be in english?( I live in Spain) What confused me the most that according to this:

    http://gaming.wikia.com/wiki/Region_Free_Xbox_360_Games

Crysis 2 is region free. so what gives? is there some patch released with crysis 2 that fixes region compatibility?

    hi,

    i have 2 question:

--- i doesn't a new update come out for crysis (not crysis warhead)???

the newest one is patch/update 1.21. what about 1.3 or something like that because the 1.21 still has problems.

--- and another thing if you can help...ever since i downloaded 1.21 and 1.2 my game, single and multiplayer started being slow and stopping.

    why is this happening?

    Thank youCrysis Game Questions?
Try doing a fresh install for the problems. Go so far as to delete the folder Crysis is in.

As for the update, there is a mod coming out called "Mechwarrior: Living Legends" soon. That's the only one I know of that's worth thinking about.

How to Run Crysis 2 Faster?

    Hello,

Im trying to run Crysis 2 on my laptop better, so I have an Acer Aspire 7741G and Windows 7,

Ive looked around on fourms and they say to update DirectX and the drivers and Physx, so Ive checked the DirectX version and its DirectX 11, Drivers are updated but I dont know what to do with Physx, its NVIDIA and my graphics card is ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1GB. I already have Physx on my computer as Crysis 2 Requires it but I want to break my graphics card so should I update physx or not? Any other suggestions are welcome

ThanksHow to Run Crysis 2 Faster?
Some games requires Physx to be installed in order to run even if you got a ATI Card. This is normal. Make sure in game settings disable any physics options on the video section. But in crysis 2 you cant do that. Check the link below. This tools lets you customize video settings.

  • Crysis 2 - DX 11 Disabled After Applying The Patch?

I have the steam version of Crysis 2. The 1.9 patch was automaticly updated. After it was updated, I applied the texture and DX 11 patch. It seems the texture patch is fine because I can enable it but the DX 11 is still greyed and disabled even after applying the patch. My GPU is Direct X 11 capable (Ati Radeon 6870). Why is it not working?Crysis 2 - DX 11 Disabled After Applying The Patch?
There probably was a problem in installing the Dx11 update. Try reinstalling it.Crysis 2 - DX 11 Disabled After Applying The Patch?

Yessir, you need to change your GPU.

    http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.p?/a>

Here is link that shows if your system can run it.

Just enter your CPU, GPU and RAM and it should tell you.

When i did it, i guessed your CPU specification, i put an i3 with 2.4GHz, the GPU and RAM, everything but your GPU passed. Your CPU was on the border though, your RAM was fine.

  • Crysis 2 v1.9 Windows says program has stop working. HELP PLEASE ! T.T?

Just updated my Crysis 2 into v1.9 and i copy %26amp; paste a Crack on it. T.TCrysis 2 v1.9 Windows says program has stop working. HELP PLEASE ! T.T?
There is a rule for Any game or software that you use crack, and the rule is "NEVER UPDATE IT".

Now that you have updated, the existing crack is not going to work at all.

    So you have 2 options.

    1. Find a NEW crack file for the new version. (Search in google)

2.Uninstall the game and then reinstall it.

    then it will all work.

you've got a pretty decent pc so i would think you could manage £14.99 for the game.

its a bit annoying to say the least that we have to pay for stuff cuz we're honest and we have to pay more cuz people are ripping the companies off.Crysis Warhead - Cant update the patch?
I am having the same problem, but i actually did buy the game.

I tried to install the patch because the game wouldn't even run on my PC.

When i try to run it, it says something about not being able to connect to the license server. Its ridiculous, i have tried reinstalling the program, no good.

    Crysis 2 PC Issues help?

I have a Asus G1vx laptop, and I installed crysis 2 on it when it came out, played through it a few times, then didn't play it much. Recently I reinstalled windows 7 on my laptop, and with that crysis. I tried to play it again and it worked fine at first. But I quickly noticed a lag. It isn't a FPS lag, it is more of a game play issue. All the in-game mechanics will get supper slow for a second then speed up for a second then get slow again. This makes the game very hard to play, it doesn't matter if I am at a spot with a ton of NPCs or just starting a level. I have tried many of the basic things stuff like turn off vsync and change settings, but I am wondering if it is an issue with my video card driver or crysis updates(I updated drivers when I installed windows)

    Specs:

    Intel Core 2 duo@ 2.0ghz

    Nvidia geforce GTX 260m with 1gb gddr3

    4gb DDR2 ram

this used to run crysis just fineCrysis 2 PC Issues help?
Seems like you'll have to try different drivers alright. Do you remember which version you used before installing Windows 7? Because it's not always the latest drivers which are the best.

Try the 285.62 drivers and see what gives.

Also make sure you have the latest patch for Crysis 2:

Because your .exe is cracked, put the original in and just install the patch 1.9 then the dx11 patch then the high res textures if you want them and then put the cracked .exe back in and it will work. Why i cant update my crysis 2 ?

never saw the additional details there, you do need another crack for dx11, once you patch it search the pirate bay for the 1.9 crack and it'll work.

I ended up buying the game for the multiplayer.
