So will it work? Will it run the games on max settings? Will it be future proof (such as will I be able to run BF3 or Diablo 3 and other games)?

Please be nice! Will this work as an amazing gaming computer?
%26gt;In other words, you don't want me to be too harsh, right?

I was going to say - I hate the word "AMAZING" because I am not very amazed at anything these days considering the extent to which human beings become extreme and narrow minded. I try to keep that word outside of my lexicon - let's say, I may be "IMPRESSED," but not "AMAZED!"

I do have a couple of suggestions for you, in particular, the one that I think will most benefit you and may cause you to be even more impressed is to switch to the new UEFI Bios, which Gigabyte has made the decision not to do. this, in my opinion, is the WORST decision that Gigabyte could have made. They have decided to stick with the old, 16 bit text BIOS on their new P67 and Z68 boards instead of antying up and going to UEFI. I hate to say it, but that makes their motherboards outdated right now! And don't get me wrong because I think VERY highly of the quality of their motherboards, but I think they are doing a great disservice to their customers myself.

Both Asus and MSI have migrated to UEFI and all of their latest and greatest boards have a UEFI Bios interface. Instead of the old fashioned, ugly and now outdated 16 bit text BIOS, these two manufacturers have spent the money and time AND effort, to create the new UEFI 32 bit graphical BIOS which makes setting up and tweaking a computer a snap! And Asus, by far, has done the best job of all.

I would be doing you a great disfavor to tell you that the motherboard you picked out is a good one when the BIOS sucks and is outdated.

Now if I was going to get a motherboard, it would be the Asus P8Z68 Pro motherboard. It is getting rave reviews, a lot of people are jumping on it and are happy and it has the AMAZINGLY brilliant UEFI Bios. So if I were you, migrate to this new motherboard and be AMAZED.Will this work as an amazing gaming computer?
if u have a quad core and a pretty nice graphic card such as the one listed up there, then you should have no problem playing games.

about being future proof, it will last a long time but the thing about computers is that they slow down over the years and you will probably want a new one because of the new computers in the future. Will this work as an amazing gaming computer?
I spent a good 7 minutes looking at your list, and this system is going to have no problems running these games on max settings. It definitely seems future proof. The Intel I-series processors are fantastic. The I5s work great. It is kind of overkill to have the I7, because the I5 is so fast that you cant really tell the difference between the two, so you made a good choice. 8gb of memory is also way more than you will ever need, which makes it even more future proof. Seeing the 2tb hard drive sort of made me chuckle, but you will never need to buy a larger one, so you are set. It sounds like you will be playing Star Craft in no time. :)
